Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void in all states not listed and where prohibited by law.
For the purposes of this Contest and its Official Rules, the definition of “YellaSource members active in the construction industry and/or contractors” refers to any qualified Contestant who makes the purchase decision for the project and is currently involved in or has recently completed one of the following projects, provided that the project began within 12 months prior to the Contestant’s entry date (each referred to as a “category”):
- Use YellaWood PTP products: Project cost $30,000 or less
- Use YellaWood PTP products: Project cost over $30,000
- Use GSWP Distributed Products – Composite (Other): Project cost $40,000 or less

- HOW TO ENTER: To be eligible, your entry must be submitted during a given Quarterly Entry Period. Only one (1) named Contestant for each entry, regardless of the number of people who may have contributed to the creation of the project.
To enter: you must do the following steps:
a) Visit YellaSource.com and write a short story (no more than 1,000 characters) describing your project. If your entry has more than 250 words, only the first 250 words will be judged.
b) Upload photo(s) of your project. Upload up to 3 files in .jpg or .png format, with a combined file size of no more than 10MB.
c) Select which category your project’s story and photo(s) fall under and click the Submit button. One entry per category each Quarterly Entry Period.
Once you completed steps a, b, c (above), it will be considered your “Entry” into the Contest’s Quarterly Entry Period for which your Entry qualifies. Each Contestant can submit multiple Entries, one entry per category per Quarterly Entry Period; however, each Entry must be original or unique. If identical or similar Entries are submitted from an individual Contestant regardless of which category or which Quarterly Entry Period, or identical Entry is submitted by another Contestant, only the first Entry received will be entered in the Contest’s Quarterly Entry Period competition. If the Sponsor is not able to determine the ownership of or rights to the Entry/Entries, the disputed Entry/Entries may or will be disqualified in the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
Each Contestant acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor may receive many Entries in this Contest and that such other Entries may be similar in theme, idea, format or other respects to Contestant’s Entry, and Contestant waives and releases any and all claims Contestant may have had, may have, and/or may have in the future that any composition/entry and/or ideas accepted, reviewed and/or used by the Sponsor, its affiliates, or their respective officers, directors, employees and agents may be similar to or the same as his/her/their Entry.
See Judging section below for details: Your Entry (or Entries) will be judged along with other eligible Entries received for a specific category for a given Quarterly Entry Period. If no eligible Entries are received for a given category for a Quarterly Entry Period, that prize will not be awarded. A Contestant can win more than one prize. Winning Quarterly Entries will automatically be entered in the Grand Prize competition which will be determined no later than 1/31/26. Grand Prize winner will be declared the YellaWood Contractor of the Year.
- SUBMITTAL OF ENTRIES: Unaltered images of Sponsor’s products, logos and trademarks can be used for the sole purpose of entering this Contest only.
By submitting the Entry, each Contestant certifies that his/her/their Entry is an original work created solely by Contestant, and no other person or entity holds rights to the Entry in whole or in part.
Sponsor reserves the right to post (or not to post/share) any Entry submitted in this Contest on its website, and/or on any on social media. The inclusion of an Entry does not indicate that the Contestant who submitted it is a winner. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Contestant agrees that the Contest Entities are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties.
Entry guidelines: Your Entry must NOT include the following:
- content in violation of third-party rights including, but not limited to: copyrights, trademark, right of publicity or any other proprietary rights unless you have their permission prior to submission (example: get approval from the photographer who took the photo you submit as your Entry, obtain written permission from the individual who appears in the photo, etc.);
- content that is libelous, defamatory, adult-oriented or sexually-explicit, offensive language, portraying or advocating violence, discrimination, illegal activities, racism or hatred;
- content that denigrates disparages or reflects negatively on the Sponsor, its products or its employees, or on any other person, company, product or service.
If an Entry includes any of the prohibited elements listed above, the Entry will be disqualified, along with the Contestant who submitted it in this Contest. The above list is not intended to be exhaustive; the Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entry for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion, including if it finds the Contestant acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or harassing other Contestant(s) or if it determines that said Contestant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, deceiving or using other unfair practices. Sponsor is under no obligation to disclose why an Entry has been disqualified other than the Entry was ineligible under these Official Rules. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. If the Sponsor suspects that a Contestant attempted to obtain additional Entries by using multiple accounts/identities or any other method, all Entries submitted by the Contestant will be declared null and void, and the Contestant may be disqualified from participation in the Contest at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event of a dispute as to the ownership of any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of Entry will be deemed to be the Contestant. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If a dispute cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected Entry will be deemed ineligible. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate Entries received, whether caused by Contestant, technical or programming errors associated with the Contestant. All Entries received become Sponsor’s property and will not be returned or acknowledged.
- GRANT OF RIGHTS: Submission of an Entry further constitutes the Contestant’s consent for Sponsor, its parent company and/or agents the rights to publish, reproduce, prepare derivative works of, distribute, display, exhibit, transmit, broadcast, televise, digitize, otherwise use, and permit others to use and perform throughout the world the Entry, in whole or part, in any manner, form, or format now or hereinafter created, and for any purpose, including, but not limited to, on the Contest Entities’ websites, or any other advertising or promotion of Contest Entities all without further consent from or payment/notification to Contestant, including any non-winning Entry.
- JUDGING CRITERIA:
Quarterly Winners Determination: All eligible Entries received for each applicable Quarterly Entry Period will be judged per category by a panel of judges consisting of representatives from Sponsor (“Judges”). Each eligible Entry will be judged based on the following equally weighted judging criteria:
(a) Aesthetic/Architectural Design(s)
(b) Quality of craftsmanship and installation
(c) Overall “Five-Star Backyards” appeal
In the event of a tie for a specific category in a given Quarterly Entry Period, the Entry (from among the tied Entries) with the highest score for Aesthetic/Architectural Design(s) will be declared as the category winner. In the event of a further tie, the Sponsor will determine the winning Entry for a given category.
Grand Prize Winner Determination: After the Quarterly winning Entries are determined, all winning Entries will be reviewed and rejudged by the Judges using the Judging Criteria below, weighted equally, to determine the top scoring Entry that will be declared the Grand Prize Winner (i.e., YellaWood Contractor of the Year 2025).
(a) Suitability for publicity
(b) Reflects positive image on the Sponsor, its products or its employees and service
In the event of a tie, the Sponsor will determine the winning Grand Prize Entry, in its sole and absolute discretion, from among the tied Entries.
The Sponsor reserves the right to not award any Quarterly prize or the Grand Prize if, in its sole and absolute discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries for a specific Quarterly Entry Period competition and/or the Grand Prize competition. Judges’ decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest.

At the sole discretion of the Sponsor or Administrator, prize forfeiture may result from any of the following: (i) the potential winner cannot be contacted or is not reachable; (ii) an Release or a prize notification is returned as undeliverable; (iii) the Release is not returned to the Administrator within the date specified on notification; (iv) a prize winner is otherwise found to be ineligible; (v) prize winner cannot or will not accept or receive the prize for any reason; (vi) at time of notification the potential winner (or winner) is no longer residing in the eligible location stated in section 1 above; and (vii) any other non-compliance with these Official Rules. In addition, the Sponsor reserves the right to award fewer than the stated number of prizes stated in these Official Rules, including the option not to award any prize, if, in its sole and absolute discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries. If a potential winner is disqualified and there are eligible Entries available, the Contestant with the next highest score for the corresponding Quarterly prize (or Grand Prize competition) will be determined the alternate potential winner. Attempts will be made to notify up to two (2) alternate potential winners, after which the forfeited prize will not be awarded. Prizes will be awarded provided they are validly claimed by January 30, 2026, after which no alternate winners will be determined, nor unclaimed prizes awarded. The Sponsor or Administrator reserves the right to modify the notification procedures to an alternative winner, if any. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address, and/or telephone number of Contestants. Winner who receives a total prize value of $600 or more, will be required to furnish his/her/their Social Security number and W9 form to the Administrator/Sponsor and an IRS Form 1099 will be filed in the name of the winner for the value of the prize awarded. If a winner is otherwise eligible under these Official Rules, but is nevertheless deemed a minor in his/her/their state of primary residence, the corresponding prize will be awarded in the name of winner’s parent or legal guardian who will be required to respond with the necessary documentation and/or information on minor’s behalf. All federal, state, local and sales taxes are the sole responsibility of each winner.

- DISPUTES: If any part of these Official Rules is deemed to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the balance of these Official Rules will remain in effect and will be construed in accordance with its terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. Except where prohibited, Contestants agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded must be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by a federal or state court located in New York, NY; (b) the Contest will be governed and enforced pursuant to the laws of the State of New York and the federal laws of the United States of America, without regard to the conflicts of laws provisions thereof; (c) any and all claims, judgments and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (d) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL CONTESTANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS FOR, AND CONTESTANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AND ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN FOR ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES, AND ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED.
